Renovations are nearly complete on Nowra Cafe

Trendy new look for the Nowra cafe

Renovations are nearly complete on the former SOLA café located in North Nowra. New management – Civic Disability Services – have been working on changes to the café which will see a whole new colour scheme, new floors and new décor. There is a brand new La Marzocco coffee machine and most importantly a new blend of locally sourced coffee which is a very smooth full bodied blend of Sumatran, South American and African beans.

“The new look is starting to take shape. The painters have started on the inside and exterior walls, the flooring is a beautiful ash grey, and once the plants and décor are put in the café it will look amazing.” Monique, Café staff.

Not only have there been changes to the building but staff have started training including seven of the SOLA supported employees who will restart with this new café. The supported employees will work both in front of house making coffees and serving customers as well as in the kitchen cooking for the café and the catering function.

“This new café is all about providing employment opportunities for people with disability in the Shoalhaven region as well as creating an inviting place for people to come and enjoy a great tasting coffee and a bite to eat.” Annie Doyle, Civic Disability Services CEO.
